What Is The Most Important Part Of The Body

My mother used to ask me what the most important part of the body is.
Through the years I would take a guess at what I thought was the correct Answer.

When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I said, 'My ears, Mommy.'

She said, 'No. Many people are deaf. But you keep thinking about it and I will ask you again soon.'

Several years passed before she asked me again. Since making my first attempt, I had contemplated the correct answer.

So this time I told her, 'Mommy, sight is very important to everybody, so it must be our eyes.'

She looked at me and told me, 'You are learning fast, but the answer is not correct because there are many people who are blind.'

Stumped again, I continued my quest for knowledge and over the years,
Mother asked me a couple more times and always her answer was, 'No. But you are getting smarter every year, my child.'

Then one year, my grandfather died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Even my father cried.

I remember that especially because it was only the second time I saw him cry.
My Mom looked at me when it was our turn to say our final good-bye to my Grandfather.

She asked me, 'Do you know the most important body part yet, my dear?'
I was shocked when she asked me this now. I always thought this was a game between her and me.

She saw the confusion on my face and told me, 'This question is very important. It shows that you have really lived in your life.
For every body part you gave me in the past, I have told you were wrong and I have given you an example why.

But today is the day you need to learn this important lesson.'
She looked down at me as only a mother can. I saw her eyes well up with tears. She said,
'My dear, the most important body part is your shoulder.'

I asked, 'Is it because it holds up my head?'

She replied, 'No, it is because it can hold the head of a friend or a loved one when they cry.
Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometime in life, my dear. I only hope that you have enough love and friends
that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it.'

Then and there I knew the most important body part is not a selfish one. It is made for others and not for yourself. It is sympathetic to the pain of others.

People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will NEVER forget how you made them feel.

The origination of this letter is unknown.

Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them, but you always know they are there.

PREVENT CHILD ABUSE

Child abuse leaves more than just bruises. Long after children have recovered from the physical results of a beating, abused children suffer from emotional and psychological trauma that can last the rest of their lives.
Adults who experienced child abuse in their youth are more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol, commit violent crimes, form unhealthy relationships, and even abuse their own children.
Unfortunately, many bystanders witness child abuse and do nothing about it. Neighbors and friends may hear or even see child abuse happening, but don't want to intrude or interfere with "the rights" of the parents. Such inaction can mean years of pain and heartbreak for young children who are unable to get out of a bad situation.
Abused children need your intervention. In their helplessness, they must rely on capable adults who are willing to take a stand and get them out of an abusive environment. By being aware of child abuse, and helping to educate the people you know, you can help prevent child abuse in your community.

Learn about child abuse. Educate yourself by taking the Myths and Realities About Child Abuse Quiz. Keep these key facts in mind:
  • Child abusers can be any age, any gender, and any race. They can be from any economic class and have any level of education.
  • Children are more likely to be abused by their own parents than by a stranger.
  • Rarely does an incident of child abuse happen in isolation. When a child is abused once, it is likely to happen again.
  • Educate your neighbors and friends about child abuse. Consider emailing your acquaintances a link to this article. Or, ask an official from a local domestic violence shelter to speak to your neighborhood group, church association, PTA, or other organization. They are usually more than willing to share what they know about how to prevent child abuse.

I see you from afar and hold you close to my Heart

~ Finding LoVE through my windows ~

My eyes are an intimate part of my body,
...they hold my deep and darkest secrets,
    left alone with my thoughts,
looking through the window of the world,
I found a LoVE to share my dark secrets,
    my laughter and my sorrows.

You looked into my heart and see the inner me,
    that has never been revealed,
You share my secrets I hold inside,
you have become an intricate part of my life,
we share so many deepest memories,
    and our friendship blossomed.

With my thoughts I wonder where you are,
I search for you within and find you in my heart,
    I still hear your voice,
    I feel your caress,
I sit in the dark and remember,
    and I have to confess.....
you are the essence of my
    heart and soul.

I am so glad my eyes locked with yours,
for now you are my most inner,
and fondest memory my life has ever known.

    LoVING you comes easy,
    you complete me,
you are the essence of my soul that fulfills my life.

for you are the key that fits my soul...

    Dare to Be!

When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great, too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can-
At all times, Dare to be!

    Do Not...

Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Do not set your goals by what other people deem important.

Only you know what is best for you..

Do not let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past nor for the future.

By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life.

Do not give up when you still have something to give.

Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
It is a fragile thread that binds us to each other....

Do not be afraid to encounter risks.

It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Do not shut love out of your life by saying it is impossible to find.

The quickest way to receive love is to give love; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly.

    Do not dismiss your dreams.

To be without dreams is to be without hope; to be without hope is to be without purpose.

Do not run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going.

Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

    Look To This Day

    Look To This Day
    For it is life,
    The very life of life.
In its brief course lie all
The realities and verities of existence,
    The bliss of growth,
    The splendor of action,
    The glory of power . . .

For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision.
    But today, well lived,
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

She is from Taiwan and was born in Kaohsiung and she attends The National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan. Sexy Lexie

Yung-Shih Fang is the name of my mentor for 2009 IT training at Winneba Open Digital Village. She is well known as Lexie here in Ghana but people call her Lalu because she uses it in most websites that she registers and not to forget she is beautiful and elegant. She is 24 years of age and I don’t think she wants to get any younger…lol she was born in Taiwan in a popular town called Taipei. She schools at The National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan which is the Famous University in Taiwan. She is offering Physics (wow that is pretty a difficult subject that involves lot of calculations and I am scared of physics). She really loved Grandma’s meal when she was in Ghana and she is still missing it so that is her favorite food. She loves to play poker games and her hobbies are traveling and doing out-door activities. What she likes is to find something new and explorer it and what she dislikes is “Life without Change”. Actually she is single for now and hoping to find Mr. Right I guess. She is about 161.2cm but most people don't believe it but she does insist it is correct, hahaha. She has one elder sister and she is pretty just like her. She has no biggest fear or worry yet.
If she was given three wishes what do you think it would be? Well, her first wish is she would like to have a long trip around the world, meeting new friends and old friends from Ghana. Her second wish is, she wishes to be an expert in music but anyway she is good in one instrument at least. Her last wish is for her to see all the people she loves healthy and happy. She admires one quality most in others which is mentally mature and being stable in different situations. If she could speak any language it would be cat language because she lost her cat which left home but did not know its way back home. She likes to listen to music and her favorite music is Pop, R&B, Rock and Church Songs. She likes to watch lot of movies but her best type is feature film and comedies.
This is what she said about her likeness of Ghana. “Land and people, its friendly people who led me to meet Ghana, a sweet-nature place which makes me feel that I'm so close to the land”.

    Guess Who ( My Mentor)

He is a Handsome Man, he is caring, he is kind, he is respectful, he knows what he is, he knows who he is, he knows what he wants to do and he knows what he has to do. To shorten everything, he is a really good student and a really good Tutor. He is from Taiwan from a town called San Chung. He is 21 years and was born on 9th December 1988. He is about 170cm tall. He has one cute brother. Well he is single... lol and every girl likes him. He schools at the National Tsing Hua University and he offers Engineering, System and Science. Wow, so many courses right? This shows how brilliant and smart he is to be taking tough courses. He likes eating and his favorite food is rice and I guess his favorite meal in Ghana is Red-Red. Oh he plays the same sport with me and that makes his favorite game to be basketball and that is his hobby. He also likes reading. He is scared of one thing but I am not going to tell you so please find out from him.
To talk about his teaching, he is really good at teaching and if he was suppose to be a teacher, he will be the best. Everybody admires and appreciate his teaching. He makes sure that every student understands what he is teaching even though he is not good in English. He makes the student practice what ever he talks about and the student perfectly understand what he talks about. When any of the students do not understand what he is saying, he calls for assistance and they help the student and they all understand everything. We are so glad to have him. But it is rather unfortunate that he is rather offering to become an Engineer.
What he likes about Ghana is their culture and how Ghanaian people are so friendly .Opps, are u still guessing his name, okay I surrender I will tell you. He is called Po-Yu Wang and he is known as Kofi Ben in Ghana. Check out the picture of him and the video of his teaching and I bet you will like him. I like him because he is really friendly.

The Greatness of OneVillage Foundation with the NTHU Students.

It has been three years from now. There are 10 students who come from the National Tsing Hua University every year. Have u wondered where they come and the purpose for coming? They never chose any other place to go than to come to Africa, never chose any where in Africa than West Africa, they never chose anywhere in West Africa, but Ghana. It was and it has been very great that they even did not choose the Greater Accra Region but Central Region and came to Winneba instead of Cape Coast or any other place in the Central Region. Their Main purpose of coming here to Winneba, Ghana is to enrich the mind of the students here about Information Communication Technology. They also are been lectured about the Ghanaian culture.

For more than three years now, OneVillage Foundation who is popularly known as WoDiV in Winneba have been standing tall and still strong. They have really been helpful to the youth in Winneba and to the society in General. They have not only been helping Winneba but helping the young of Jukwa . Have you ever wondered who have been the one doing all these Blessed and interesting things? It is no one than a Wonderful lady who is from Taiwan but her heart is in no where than Ghana and she is even the Queen Mother of Jukwa and she is known as Joy Tang. Not to forget about Mr. Kafuie Prebbie, he has really been helping a lot on what ever that the NTHU students have been doing and he is the Executive Director of the OneVillage foundation branch in Winneba,

There is one talented man from Cape Coast called Richardson. He is really gifted with the Ghanaian culture and he has been very helpful to the NTHU students whenever they come to Ghana. He has been helping them to learn how to dance in all forms and how to Drum the Local Drums. Well there are a lot of things to be told about all these Mentors and we are really grateful for what they have been doing for everybody.

    (NTHU 2010 Ghana Diaries)NTHU 2010年加纳日志

Today is IT Beginner the first day, past 7:00 am, we just now have the breakfast, several students already first arrived. The OVF staff have not turned on the lamp, they already peacefully just suspended yesterday the good English story book to hold reading, in darkness, the bright eye pupil is glittering the ray. “good dedicated!”I take up the simple eye camera the sound board card which photographs in side, they remain unmoved. “this feeling good familiar!”Is country small time probably, that time I am also same as them, open a story book likely to open a box of potato piece, a piece of then piece, has cannot stop down the desire ....... Their some are the country mesozoic, animatedly was still reading regarding the story book, but we to country in later because of academic pressure, but must read the textbook which the massive tests use, this time “reading” to the majority of people, already no longer was then could not stop down between-meal snack. Looks that they are holding the books reading facial expression, so dedicated, has shocked me deeply, simultaneously also makes me feel somewhat guilty. In Africa, although the living conditions are bad, the information circulation is not developed, but they and treasure to the knowledge hope, is the growth Taiwan's we do not have in the fruitful in resources.

Always Have A Dream In Your Heart

    Follow your heart,
    never surrender your dreams.
    Constantly work towards your goals.
Believe in yourself, and always be truthful.
Take time to enjoy life's pleasures.
Keep your mind open to new experiences.
    Think before acting,
but don't forget the joys of spontaneity.
    Make your own decisions.
Look out for yourself, but remember
that you share this universe with others.
Look for the good in others,
everybody has their own song to sing.
Live each moment to the fullest,
for a moment too soon becomes a memory.
    Look for opportunities, not guarantees.
    Hope for the best.
Give people a chance to love you,
for that is how you learn to love.
    Live your life for yourself,
but always be considerate of others.
Believe in tomorrow, for it holds the key
    to your dreams.

    The Strength of a Man

The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders.
It is seen in the width of his arms that encircle you.
The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.
It is in the gentle words he whispers.

The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It is how good a buddy he is with his kids.
The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work.
It is in how respected he is at home.

The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits.
It is in how tender he touches.
The strength of a man isn't in the hair on his chest.
It is in his Heart that lies within his chest.

The strength of a man isn't how many women he's loved.
It is in can he be true to one woman.
The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift.
It is in the burdens he can understand and overcome.
